picture of Alison Alison is an established illustrator designing primarily for the greetings card and stationery industry. She graduated in Graphic Design in 1990 and with the help of the Prince's Trust she bought an etching press and set up her own business. At a Trade Fair she was presented with a silver medal by Prince Charles for her achievements.

Alison is currently working freelance for award winning card publishers Phoenix Trading. Recently she has been enjoying experimenting with new ways of producing artwork such as combining her drawing skills with computer digital techniques.

Alison also produces work for exhibitions at local galleries and for Cambridge Open Studios. Her most recent work sees a return to printmaking with collographs depicting landscapes from her imagination and atmospheric drypoints of the Fens.

In 2007 she was the featured artist in the BBC2 Schools Program 'Seasonal Snapshots'. She was filmed in her studio, making a lino print of a horse chestnut flower.

She is often asked by schools and colleges to run printmaking workshops and is now a registered artist with the 'Artists in Schools' scheme.

For information about booking Alison for talks and demonstrations about her work, please contact her using the contact page. Alison also undertakes graphic design commissions - see examples here.

In July 2008 she will be participating in Cambridge Open Studios for the thirteenth consecutive year.
